We Are Scottish Hairdresser of the Year Finalists

We are delighted to announce that our very own Karen Thomson has been shortlisted for the prestigious Scottish Hairdresser of the Year title at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards.

The awards are a celebration of hairdressing excellence, recognising the outstanding creative and technical abilities of stylists from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Judged anonymously by over 100 leading hairdressers (including celebrity stylists, session stylists, and salon owners), the winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on Monday 29th November at Grosvenor House in London.

Karen was selected as one of just six finalists in her region, after submitting four photographic images demonstrating her hairdressing expertise, both in terms of technical skill and creative ability. She is now required to submit a further two images for the final round of judging.

“I’m delighted to be a finalist,” says Karen, who previously won the Scottish Hairdresser of the Year title in 2018. “It’s such an honour to be shortlisted alongside such incredible talent. I’m confident that my photographic collection showcases my skillset and imagination and I really hope to bring the trophy home to Lossiemouth.”

KAM Hair & Body Spa in Lossiemouth are no strangers to winning awards with recent wins including Best Fashion Salon at the Salon Business Awards 2019 and Salon of the Year at the British Hair & Beauty Awards 2018.
