We’re incredibly proud to share that Karen Thomson, owner of KAM Salon, has once again been named a finalist for Scottish Hairdresser of the Year at the renowned British Hairdressing Awards 2025, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.

Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events in the hairdressing industry, the British Hairdressing Awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional creativity, skill, and innovation of stylists from across the UK. With both regional and specialist categories, the awards continue to evolve and inspire, recognising the diverse and dynamic talent within our industry.

Finalists are selected based on their submission of a striking photographic collection – a curated set of eight images that highlight their technical excellence and creative vision. Karen’s latest collection has earned her a well-deserved place among Scotland’s top talent.

The winners will be announced at a glamorous red-carpet event in London this November, bringing together the best of British hairdressing to celebrate artistry at the highest level.
